Rules
Hi, I'm Corey, the webmaster.  I'm the guy who put this stuff on the web, and I'm the one who pays the bills to keep this site online.  These are the rules for the board:

1)  No advertising products or services on my website.  If there is going to advertising, then it's going to to be paying for the upkeep of the site.  I let you have a link to your website on your profile.  If you're a shill for a corporation, then your content will deleted.

2)  Keep it civil.  There will always be conflict, use your head and don't descend into namecalling or personal attacks.

3)  Read the species pages.  They are there for a reason: to answer simple questions that shouldn't be taking up space on the board.

4)  Don't flood the board.  If you look down the right hand side of the board and see your name next to every post, then you should realize that somewhere out there is a vengeful webmaster who is starting to get pissed off.  The more random posts you make, the more you're going to be ignored, and the greater chance you have of being banned.

5)  Stay on topic.  Don't hijack threads.  The topic of the thread is what should be discussed on that thread.  Also, if there is already a thread about a topic, don't start a new one for no good reason.

6)  This board is about roughfishing.  It's not your daily fishing diary.  Nobody wants to hear about the ten bluegills you caught on Monday, the six perch you caught on Tuesday, the two white suckers you caught on Wedneday, and the fifty crappies you caught on Friday.  If it's significant in some way, or an interesting or good story, sure.  If you discovered some new fishing tactic, fine.  Otherwise, post it elsewhere.

7)  Keep politics and religion off the board.

Golden Fish Award:  This is an award for achievement!  It only lasts a couple of weeks, or until somebody else wins it.

The Stick:  This is an award for abject failure.  It sticks with you until somebody else wins it.
