That is nothing short of astounding!  Obviously an all time state record contender and yet another hall of fame roughfishing feat for you this year. Wonderful to know that incredible organism is still lurking out there and probably slurping up 10 pound carp. Simply amazing, my highest salute to you!

Thank you! I was already pretty blown away by all the luck I've had this year, so this was the absolute last thing I was expecting to catch. I thought my luck was over for the season haha. Nope! here's the fish of a lifetime... I'm not sure if it will ever feel real to me, but Tilly is still out there, swam off strong like nothing happened. Feels good to know that maybe I, or another lucky angler will get to catch it again. It was tagged in the dorsal fin with a zip tie (not by us) so if I ever catch it again I'll know :)

A MN state record class fish... crazy impressive. Live or dead bait?

Fishaholicsanonymous89's picture

So crazy, I still can't believe it. Caught it on live bait :)

I laugh when people tell me these fish are so ugly.  It reveals their lack of respect and admiration for such a beautiful beast.  You got one beautiful beast there.  A HUGE CONGRATS to you!

Fishaholicsanonymous89's picture

Yeah I'll never understand those people haha. Thank you!! :)
