Hi everybody! My name is Daniel Cho, and I'm from south korea. I learn to fish this summer in MN and I really like to know everything about fishing.

Feel free to ask any questions you have! And post your experiences, no matter if you catch an awesome fish or not. I know little about the fishes of Korea, but fishing tactics are pretty universal. And roughfish.com is all about learning to fish for every species in every situation! Welcome to the community.
Yeah, the pictures aren't working for me either. Looking up that salmon-trout, the species look to be Oncorhynchus masou, very interesting Salmonid species. It's difficult to tell from the limited amount of information available on range, but do you have the Whitespotted Char (Salvelinus leucomaesis) over there? That's one species of non-North American Char I'm dying to catch at some point. Those and S. kuznetzovi.
Whoa, those fish are BEAUTIFUL. Snakehead are always badass, and that Sanchana's colorations and eyes are amazing.....Thanks for sharing, and for sharing your knowledge on how to catch them!
That's the first time I've ever seen that species of pike-perch! I'm guessing it's some kind of Stizostedion sp. I wish we had walleye like that. The skygager is definitely very inconnu-like. Just missing the adipose and the lateral line is a little low on the body, otherwise I would have a hard time differentiating it from an inconnu. I love learning about different fish. Thanks for sharing Daniel and welcome aboard!
Thanks for sharing these cool fish from your homeland, Daniel. The trout-salmon is extremely cool, and the Sogari-mandarin fish looks like a cross between a sauger and a tiger trout! All of them are very neat. So which species from Minnesota do you want to try to catch?
I know I'm a little late to this party, but welcome! You've got some incredibly cool fish over there, making me jealous... Like the rest of these guys said, this is the place to be to learn about fishing. Hopefully we can help you and you can help us!
Thanks everone! Andy, I want to catch a musky, huge pike, inconnu, bowfin and lake trout. When I return to Korea next week, I want to catch snakehead and goduna (makerel).
Welcome Daniel!!! This is the best place to learn about fishing!

Welcome! Interesting geographic area, what sort of species do you fish for over there?
There are many amazing fish in my country. The five most popular fish are:
first: 가물치:kamulji - sneakhead: lt lives in rivers, ponds and lakes
Many people like to eat it.
you have to use baitcaster with braid and frog lure
second:꺽지:gakji- Asian perch
this fish live in clear rivers. many people like to eat it too
you can use spinner, jighead and small minnow lure with small spinng reel and ML rod
third:산천어:Sanchana-salmon trout : this fish live in creeks.
Many people love to eat those.
you have to use fly rod or spinner and tiny spoon lure with UL rod
forth:쏘가리:Sogari-mandarin fish: this fish live in clear and rocky rivers
you can use small minnow lure or small crankbait and jighead
Last:강준치:kangejunchi-skygager
this fish live in river and it taste sucks but lt gets up to 40cm~1m
you can use M rod with braid(if you want)
lures are minnow,jighead

The photobucket images didn't work, I'm dying to see those pictures. Not often we get someone on here from South Korea!

Welcome to the website :)
That kangejunchi looks almost like an inconnu, only no adipose fin. Must be a cyprinid. Very cool.

Let there be fire!
Oh man, I love seeing fish from far away places! Those are all beautiful fish!
The Asian Perch reminds me very much of a young Smallmouth bass but with just a totally different coloration. I'd love to catch that one day!
And the Sangari-Mandarin fish is incredibly cool. Looks very similar to our Walleye but with just a way cooler coloration.
Welcome to the site! I can't wait to see more!
Chain Pickerel: All the bad assery of a Northern Pike wrapped up in a smaller, prettier package.
Welcome! The asian perch looks almost exactly like a green sunfish... cool how parallel evolution works.
